The Position:
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for user story design, coding, testing and support, producing high quality technical solutions using technologies such as Pega, Java, containerization, and Amazon Web Services. The person in this role closely works with scrum team members, product owner, documentation engineers, support engineers etc.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in product backlog grooming and coming up with user stories and their estimation/sizing.
- Translate user stories into designs.
- User story implementation, bug fixing, code reviews, testing and support.
- Actively participating in all sprint meetings such as reviews, retrospectives etc., and run some of these meetings.
- Actively participating in fixing customer issues and help customer support.
- Provide help and guidance to junior associates in the team to perform their tasks.
- Share the knowledge and experience with other team members with respect to product, technology and domain.
- Scrum: Actively participate in the scrum processes used to develop solutions. Provide continuous feedback and implement changes to our development processes.
- Feedback: Actively participate in preparing and giving technical and/or product feature presentations to internal and external customers, pre-sales etc., Ensure that the feedback provided is circled back to the product as needed.

Qualifications will include:
- B.E/B.Tech or equivalent
- 4 to 7 years of development experience preferably in a SaaS development company.
- Strong knowledge of Java programming language.
- Need to be strong in Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Experience with AWS technologies – Lambda, CloudFormation, S3, DynamoDB, EC2 etc.
- Knowledge of networking and distributed architecture.
- Demonstrates proficient knowledge of engineering tools (configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers)
- Good knowledge of Docker - software containerization platform to create, deploy, and run applications by using containers.
- Good communication skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to additional cloud technologies – OpenStack, Azure, Kubernetes etc.
