Data Forecasting Engineer/Scientist:

We are looking for someone who can take data from multiple sources and build a predictive model to optimize the schedule of network maintenance for the best use of resources, lowest possible repeat downtime and minimized customer impact. Currently scheduling is done on a ticket basis that does not take the nested impacts of each action into account. We need to solve that so we can reduce customer dissatisfaction and better manage the teams work load.

Desired Skill Sets:

• Develop predictive data modeling based on historic and real time data
• Create real world forecasts that are built on long term trends as well as unforeseen emergencies
• Identify areas where data can be optimized to better facilitate forecasting

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Data Forecaster, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role
• 5 - 10 years of professional working experience
• Experience gathering and analyzing model variables
• Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
• Expertise in R, Python or similar data modeling and analysis tools
• Proficiency in SQL and Oracle
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Familiarity with Tableau
• Familiarity with Hadoop
• Proven analytical skills
• Problem-solving attitude
• Comfort with acronyms
• Large scale network experience is a plus
