As a Software Engineer for the Cloud Team, you will leverage bleeding-edge technology to implement scalable, distributed solutions for our clients that are custom tailored to their needs. Our stack and solution domain is always being expanded and evolved by our team, and currently includes serverless computing, machine learning, IoT, AI, Kubernetes and microservices - just to name a few examples. Because we constantly evolve with the latest technology, we encourage and provide support for constantly learning on the job. Here are a few things we would like to expect from you:
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum two years hands-on professional IT experience designing, implementing and deploying large scale distributed solutions such as Node or Java based apps and web services
- Solid Javascript (ES6+) and/or Java skills
- Experience in a modern microservice framework (Spring Boot, Node.js/Express, Microprofile, Ruby on Rails, etc)
- Formal education, either through a bootcamp or college experience in a computing discipline
- Ability to travel and visit clients on-site when needed
Bonus Points:
- BA/BS degree in a computing discipline from an accredited institution
- Fullstack experience utilizing a JavaScript/Typescript stack (Node.js, Express, Angular/React)
- FaaS / Serverless experience (AWS Lambda, OpenWhisk...)
- Interested in working directly with clients to understand, design and deliver solutions
- Test Driven Development
- Experience using AWS to design/create/deploy to cloud solutions
- Experience working in an agile methodology
- Container/Kubernetes experience (Openshift, IBM Cloud Private, EKS...)
- Java/J2EE experience in designing and developing solutions
- Spring Boot experience building microservices
- AWS Certifications
