Job Overview:
Design and implementation of front-end solutions for software and data science projects Development of applications that cater to a variety of internal and externally facing multi-disciplinary projects that focus on advancing technologies Requirements, testing and documentation of solutions Identification of opportunities for process improvement Recommendation of technology solutions for the business problems and requirements of our customers Staying on top of current trends in technology to ensure that we pick the best strategy for each project
Minimum Qualifications:
- Five years of front-end software development Web applications development using modern JS libraries/frameworks such as React.js, Angular 2+, or Vue.js.
- Knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals, concepts and features. (ES6+)
- Experience in design and consumption of RESTful web services.
- Experience with unit testing.
- Fluidity in common software engineering practices, e.g. source management with git or similar.
- Understanding of database principles and SQL.
- Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment.
- Solid programming skills in Python, C or C++.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey ideas and progress to both technical and non-technical people.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with application containerization such as Docker Development with back-end APIs using Python (i.e. Flask / Django) or Nodejs.
- Experience with desktop applications using Electron.
- Experience with using cloud-based platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar Telecom domain skills, such as wireless protocol analysis.
Education:
- Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science required. Masters preferred.
