As an experienced Software Engineer, your mission is to help lead our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run. This role will give you opportunity to leverage JP Morgans private cloud, developing micro-services leveraging Apigee Edge, messaging platforms like Kafka.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in software development as a developer role.
Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines, understanding of architecture and design principles.
Working proficiency in developmental tool sets.
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals.
Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages including Java and databases like Oracle.
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, requirements, technical analysis, technical design, development, maintenance and software improvement
Demonstrated and strong experience in a software engineering role, including the design, development and operation of distributed, fault-tolerant applications with particular attention to security, scalability, performance, availability and optimization
Ideally hands on experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, SpringBoot, Oracle, SQL, Rest APIs, and Microservices.
Experience with AngularJs, ReactJs or similar javascript framework, HTML5.
Knowledge with messaging applications like MQ, Kafka, ActiveMQ is a plus.
Experience with Big Data stack: Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, and Spark is a plus.
Desire to build high quality applications by creating a well-designed architecture; writing clean code; creating reusable components and strategic frameworks across multiple lines of business using latest technologies; and implementing common industry practices such as continuous integration and significant unit test code coverage.
