As a Senior Software Engineer in Berlin, you will drive team mastery in development techniques to deliver a high-performance, stable, auto-scaling in-house warehouse management system to get the right package to the right customers at the right time. Our aim is to delight our customers and make the Zalando customer experience as convenient as possible.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- Develop and execute mid- & long-term technical vision and architecture with your team while closely collaborating with Engineering Managers to be in line with our overall tech strategy.
- Manage your service from the architecture to testing, deployment and operation in an agile environment
- Facilitate communication and decision-making in your team and between different engineering teams and stakeholders
- Collaborate with and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of Backend and Research Engineers in an agile environment
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 5 years of professional programming experience in Java or Scala with experience in microservice architecture, distributed systems and RESTful APIs using relevant technologies
- Effective communication skills in English and ability to understand business requirements
- Academic degree in Computer Science
