About the User Insights and Experimentation team
The User Insights and Experimentation team builds Indeed's world-class A/B testing platform. The experimentation and data driven decision making is core to the Indeed’s product development culture and the team’s mission is to make it easy and safe to create and run A/B tests of different kinds and to reduce latency on tests and decisions.
The team builds out everything from client SDKs, experiment management UIs, scalable backend services and data processing pipeline.
Your Role
- You will work alongside Data Scientists and senior engineers across the whole Indeed engineering organization and will be able to influence the evolution of the Experimentation platform, taking it to the next level of scale and reliability
- You will be building scalable data pipelines for streaming and batch processing
- You will help building a new team and will be expected to provide mentorship and technical leadership to engineers within and outside of the team
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) designing, developing and deploying internet-scale high throughput data processing pipelines
- Experience with at least few of Kafka, Spark, Storm, Hive, HBase
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical multi-functional teams
- Experience providing technical leadership for a team of Engineers
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training

- Experience of building data pipelines for A/B testing and Experimentation
- Experience with stream processing and Lambda/Kappa architectures
- Experience with internet-scale application services development using Java
- Experience with Apache Pig
- Have interest or appreciation of Domain Driven Design
- Are open to occasional travel to Tokyo, Japan, where a part of the team is located.
