You will be the catalyst for backend and devops development at corrux, a young startup serving the complex needs of users and data processing in the civil construction space. We specialize in analytics and failure prediction for heavy civil equipment (think railroad track laying machines or tunnel borers). You will be integrating external OEM and customer data sources into our platform and streamlining deployment, while keeping an eye for scalability and performance.
Example responsibilities:
- Setup pipelines to extract and normalize data from customer APIs or custom hardware, in batches and real-time
- Help improve our failure forecasting models both in accuracy and performance
- Build more sophisticated CI/CD with an eye towards horizontal scalability and reproducibility across customers
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in backend development or devops, or at least one major project shipped
- Experienced in Python
- Sound understanding of CI/CD pipelines and implementation experience on at least one major cloud platform (Travis, CircleCI, Teamcity, Azure DevOps etc.)
- Appreciation of elegant data models and clean abstractions
- You enjoy doing things you've never done before and finding creative solutions to new problems!
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with machine learning, deep learning
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- Previous experience with IoT
- Experience with heavy equipment or vehicle interfaces
