Our multinational IT-Operations team works passionately on our highly-scalable infrastructure which runs completely on AWS. The biggest challenge for the team is to maintain around five thousand AWS resources spread over more than fifty accounts. Whereby most types of resources are found in EC2, RDS, EC, ES instances. The infrastructure's updates are automated via CF templates. The metrics-monitoring of our resources is completely automated. New features and cloud resources are completed during our sprints.
Projects and challenges the team will be working on in the next 12 months:
- 2019 is marked by our biggest and most exciting project: the ABOUT YOU CLOUD. It’s Europe's first API based and enterprise-ready infrastructure solution. Our operations team is at the heart of this project and is in charge of rollouts, maintenance, and further improvement.
Exciting projects are ahead and therefore, as of now, we are looking for a Lead Cloud Engineer, who is not only up-to-date but Hands-On and enthusiastic about improving our Cloud infrastructure and Operation team.
What you will do
- Functional and disciplinary lead of a motivated Operations, and Admin Team
- Ensure stability and scalability of our system on AWS
- Creation of innovative solutions for our architecture on AWS
- Optimization and automation of current workflows
- Spot chances to improve our tech-stack
- Continuously work on infrastructure-cost reduction
- Work together with different teams and have a direct exchange with our CTO
Who you are
- Several years of experience in the IT Operations field
- Extensive knowledge with AWS
- Practical experience with Python, Ansible and Cloudformation
- Experience as a Team Lead is advantageous
- Touchpoints with Nginx, Redis and Docker
- Fluent in English
