Qualifications:This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Advanced knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Hardware Benchmarking (program management, network management), Design (compliance, security), Network Engineering (planning, provision)
- Advanced understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring, best practices and JPMC policies
- Proficient in multiple infrastructure technologies
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
- Ability to articulate to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms
- Proficient in one of programming languages (Java, PERL, Python)
- Minimum 10+ years of experience of architecting, designing and integrating new solutions in a large scale enterprise environment with global presence required
- Minimum 5+ years experience with engineering and administration Citrix NetScaler, Juniper, Cisco, F5, ICA product lines required
- Thorough knowledge of ICA, NetScaler and associated data security designs required
- Strong Technical knowledge of Windows 2008/2012, Unix/Linux, Windows 7, SQL Server, MS Office, and Active Directory required
- Thorough knowledge and history of design and deployment of large scale VPN technologies, like Cisco or Checkpoint
- Working knowledge of application deployment process and functional network troubleshooting required
- Comprehensive Service delivery from conception, documentation through handoff
This Remote Access Infrastructure Engineer will have responsibility to lead the design and deploy solutions covering NetScaler, Cisco and Juniper Remote Access Appliances.
Summary of responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Remote Access requirements in our company are large and complex involving many thousands of servers and global 24x7 presence & uptime requirements. The selected candidate will join a team of experienced engineers and architects and will be called upon to influence in the creation of out-of-the-box, next generation solutions. The Remote Access Engineer will be called upon to devise strategic offerings covering a wide area of technologies, most notably Citrix NetScaler, GSLB, Windows 10 integration of Remote Access technologies, Enterprise class VPN Technologies and Citrix XenApp/ Broker product lines and the associated ecosystem. Additionally, the engineer will be assisting in the development of automated solutions. The successful individual will be a problem solver engaged in finding solutions to enterprise wide issues and will be required to work with cross functional teams both internally and with outside vendors. The individual in this role will need to be adept at monitoring the on-going operation of the servers and providing application analysis / utilization reports to identify problems and corrective actions as needed. The preferred candidate is experienced in multiple platforms and can complete assigned duties with minimal direction from management. The candidate will routinely act independently while researching and developing solutions to a new site wide rollout.
