As an experienced Infrastructure Development professional, your mission is to help lead our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run. Your hands-on knowledge in system design, application development, testing and operational stability will help your team deliver high quality products. Youll be instrumental in solving more difficult technical issues, developing integration elements, building data models, APIs, and open 3rd-party SDKs. This position is anticipated to require the use of one or more High Security Access (HSA) systems. Users of these systems are subject to enhanced screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks, and/or other enhanced screening at the time of accepting the position and on an annual basis thereafter. The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.
This position is on the Optical Cloud Storage Engineering team.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Provide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation and delivery.
- Understanding cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages
- Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, RESTful API Design, Amazon S3 API, etc.
- Experience with developing frameworks that helps with increasing developer and release velocity, improving code health and technical standards
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with clear communication
- Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
- Significant experience in both Systems Engineering and Software development
- Experience using cloud object software defined storage products such as EMC Elastic Cloud Storage, Amazon S3, Netapp StorageGrid, IBM Cleversafe, Cloudian Hyperscale, Red Hat Ceph, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud
