The client delivery team is responsible for maintaining and supporting 24/7 of all the MyVest environments in public and private clouds. You will be the part of database team to support multi terabyte large database, multi nodes cluster , maintain high availability, enhance performance of both RDMS and NoSQL databases.  

YOU WILL:



  • Provide Database support in our cloud infrastructure and private data centers for production and non production environment.

  • Be responsible for the database technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems.

  • Recommend the upgrade database, patches etc.

  • Ensure high availability of production databases.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues as they occur.

  • Monitor database health and optimize database performance.

  • Assist with the on-going development of our cloud infrastructure

  • Ensure database security and backup/recovery.

  • Maintain up to date documentation of all databases installation, configuration, upgrade etc.

  • Support and assist the development and QA teams as required.

  • Build monitoring scripts (DB growth, DB load etc.)

  • Use and learn not just cutting-edge technologies, but also learn about the investment industry.

  • Be an individual contributor, working under specific deadlines.



YOU ARE:



  • A great communicator and problem solver.

  • A team player, capable of leading the shift.

  • Able the handle heavy workloads in Cassandra / Oracle databases in Linux platform in private and public cloud.


YOU HAVE:



  • A bachelor's degree.

  • 4-5 years of experience as Cassandra / Oracle DBA in production Linux environment:

  • Minimum 2+ years of hands on experience in managing production database on Cassandra.

  • Working experience in 24 x 7 environments.

  • Good understanding of Cassandra Architecture, installation, configuration, upgrade in Linux environment.

  • Experience of node addition, replacement, removal from the Cassandra cluster

  • Working knowledge of Cassandra data modeling experience

  • Working knowledge of Cassandra utilities (Nodetool, sstableloader, sstable2json etc.)

  • Experience scaling Cassandra clusters to support high read/write throughput and tuning / troubleshooting long running jobs

  • Experience of user account maintenance and database security.

  • Experience scripting administrative tasks using python or shell scripts.

  • Knowledge of 11g and 12c Oracle software installations and database creations  on Linux environment.

  • Experience in analysis of data tablespace, TEMP, UNDO tablespace growth.

  • Good knowledge of user account maintenance and database security.

  • Working experience of PL/SQL and  assisting developers with writing SQL and PL/SQL Code .

  • Experience with Cloud environments

  • Experience in Netapp Storage (SMO, Snapmirror), a plus.

  • Experience in Postgres  and Redis, a plus.

  • Experience in GoldenGate

  • Working experience of Unix/Linux operating system
