Duties:Provide operational analytics to support better management of MIS. Extract production related information from various databases and formulating analytics to import to Data warehouses. Provide routine process/operational control reports and/or Controls Dashboard support. Develop appropriate metrics and associated reporting to support test/control analysis on new processes or procedures. Provide analytics support/justification for project business cases. Provide process improvement analysis using process modeling and simulation techniques to understand the impact of process changes. Attend technology design meetings and recommend security and data improvements and will work on those prioritized changes. Identify and troubleshoot code-related issues associated with security and performance. Design and build solutions to these issues. Follow best practices around code maintenance and deployment strategies. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed IT solutions. Participate in design reviews to provide input for the design recommendations. Incorporate security requirements. Provide input to information/data flow. Analyze business requirement, define development scope and develop technical specification documents. Code, test, modify, debug, document, and implement ETL and SQL. Develop scripts to automate the execution of ETL using shell scripts under Unix environment. Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Identify/troubleshoot issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation. Help develop test cases and plans to complete the unit testing and support System testing. Participate in unit testing and integration testing. Help develop code migration strategies from one environment to the other. Assume ownership and accountability for the assigned deliverables thru all phases of the development lifecycle.
Minimum education and experience required: Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field plus 2 years of experience in data analysis, operations research, computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or related experience OR Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field plus 5years of experience in data analysis, operations research, computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or related experience.
Skills required:Must have knowledge of SQL using various tools such as Toad, SQL Developer; collating from various data sources (data warehouses, different database environments) and analyzing large amounts of data and summarizing findings; working with large-scale/complex issues and working effectively across functional and organizational lines; translating business requirements into technical requirements documentation; full development lifecycle from inception through implementation, Data Warehousing environment, Database Development work experience and design experience in Oracle/MSSQL database platform; PL/SQL, Perl, UNIX, and Java; ETL tool Informatica or Pentaho; Control-M job, Autosys, experience on the AIM (Application infrastructure Model); designing database models, including star, snow-flake schema, and cubing technology; designing database feeds from various systems; scripting automation solutions; data modeling, analytics and reporting; version and revision control practices and procedures; managing the issue resolution process for any application production problems; and prioritizing and managing development and implementation of enhancements/changes to multiple applications.
