Responsibilities

Design enterprise level, high-availability Ruby-on-Rails applications
Build, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable Ruby/Ruby-on-Rails code in an Agile (CA/Rally) environment.
Support large-scale deployments, across a world-wide network.
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Skills:

10+ years Professional Software Development
3+ years Professional Ruby-on-Rails Development; Expert-level understanding of Ruby, Ruby-on-Rails and their nuances
Relevant Enterprise experience with the fundamental design and implementation principles behind scalable, high-availability applications
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
Proficient with both external and embedded databases
Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
Skills for writing reusable Ruby libraries
Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful
Practical experience with Test-drive development and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.
Implementation of automated testing platforms and unit tests
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (e.g. GitLab, Mercurial or SVN)
Familiarity with development aiding tools such as Capistrano, Bower, Bundler, Rake, etc.
Familiarity with continuous integration
Experience with SaltStack a huge plus
Experience as a Sysadmin, Python and other scripting also a plus
