Responsibilities : The Manager, TV Distribution Technology is responsible for functional project leadership, overall management and operational support of the consolidated finance/accounting system for NBC/Universal’s Global TV Distribution business. The Manager will act as the primary business facing functional support point of contact for the Global Television Distribution business, including current and future system support.

The Manager will play a leading role in an ongoing program to replace the existing TV Distribution Contact Management and Finance platform which includes definition, documentation and delivery of functional user stories related to the implementation.

This position will report directly to the Director, Global Television Distribution Technology and be based in Universal City, CA.

Job Duties


Serve as functional lead in an ongoing program to replace the existing TV Distribution platform to implement technology solutions for Finance (NetSuite) and Contract Management (FilmTrack) which includes:



  • Function as the business IT functional leader during NetSuite and FilmTrack System implementation and roll-out

  • Identify and document business requirements, functional design, testing, training, defining support procedures, leading work streams and supporting implementations

  • Lead financial and accounting implementations including chart of accounts, invoicing, and accounting processes such as Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), Revenue Recognition and Financial Reporting

  • Manage relationships with business facing user community; manage delivery of assigned projects.

  • Partner with Director to drive continuous system improvement and user support and provide regular updates to business users on operational issues, service levels, and project status

  • Lead a team of Business Analysts and partner with Development team to support, develop and maintain an effective roadmap that encompasses all aspects for the NetSuite system and execution across TV Distribution business. Configure and implement our financial software products to meet specific customer requirements

  • Recommend technology solutions to help clients streamline fragmented risk management technology environments

  • Establish working relationship with and manage vendor relationship with NetSuite and NetSuite professional services providers as well as FilmTrack and other 3rd party partners.

  • Maintain NetSuite skills by attending user training, user conferences and online forums

  • Development of reports in the NetSuite

  • Manage release execution for application upgrades, patches and enhancements

  • Manage the identification, documentation and prioritization of enhancements

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications/Requirements : Basic Qualifications



  • Requires a B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Business Administration or other relevant field, or equivalent experience

  • Strong working knowledge of project financial management, including planning, estimating, budgeting, and tracking of project finances

  • Understanding of IT processes for software configuration, software development, software integration, infrastructure processes

  • Experience with all PM processes (project schedule, financial management, issue/risk management, resource management)

  • Minimum 6 years of proven technology management experience with a strong background in software development, application management, or IT Operations

  • Minimum 6+ years program/project management experience in managing and delivering major technology initiatives (preferred experience managing $5M+ threshold)

  • Minimum of 3+ years managing cloud-based software applications

  • Knowledge of TV Distribution business process flows including sales, avails, licensing, material and metadata fulfillment, legal and financial contract management

  • Ability to travel both domestic and international locations
