We’re on the hunt for a cool-headed Hosting Monk to help handle the server-side of things for high-profile and high-traffic projects.


About the Role



  • While this position is based in the Netherlands, the servers your projects run on will be located all over the world.

  • You’ll work as part of our development department in Hilversum, comprised of 100+ of the best front- and backend specialist in the world across languages and stacks.

  • Alongside 500 co-workers from other disciplines, you’re part of the most awesome production company on the planet, developing everything you could possibly throw at a digital project.

  • As our in-house hosting engineer, you safeguard the server success of digital projects we develop for major brands suchs Adidas, Heineken and KLM.

  • We rely on you to deliver speedy, stable and secure server setups, but also to monitor and support them.

  • You do whatever it takes to make sure our hosting setups remain stable, secure and successful.

  • You work as part of a team of Hosting Monks that share a responsibility for making sure our servers are up and running 24/7 — which they almost always do.


Requirements



  • This position requires a solid knowledge of cloud-based hosting environments (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Hosting, etc.).

  • You’ll need to have experience with Linux and Ansible.

  • Some functional knowledge of PHP, Python and/or other backend languages would help win our hearts, minds and hardware.

  • Next to these specifics, we expect Hosting Monks to be driven, dedicated, and flexible — just like our servers.

  • You’re dedicated to both clients and co-workers, and flexible when it comes to working structures and hours.
