The Architecture Team at TravelClick is responsible for the controlled evolution of our infrastructure and products in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment. The Web Architect contributes to the technical strategy, architecture patterns, standards and implementation for web-application and web-hosting, both customer-facing and internal. The Web Architect is a thought leader and helps set direction coordinating with the greater architecture team and representing web architecture in related architecture activities.

WEB ARCHITECT - CONTRACT TO PERM - ORLANDO, FL
Web Architect Responsibilities:
* Build / maintain a sample customer website showing performance best practices. This is based on a visual sample customer website maintained by the web ops team, but rewritten / optimized for performance (images, no render-blocking CSS, JavaScript, no bloat etc.)
* Maintain webapp templates for Angular apps - one template is for current gen; 2nd template is for future gen. These provide starting points for dev teams building webapps. Includes things like: cache-busting names (css,js,html partials, images), use of webpack for dynamic loading on SPAs. 2nd template is prep work for a controlled introduction of Angular 4 etc.
* Build prototype web-components for use in customer websites: JavaScript-based web components for booking-mask, lead-rate. To be adopted/deployed in new high-end customer sites. Work with / mentor dev teams on project startup
* Provide architecture support to marketing team around our website
* Akamai delivery configurations, cloudlet policies - provide ongoing setup / support / maintenance of Akamai delivery configs
* Webapp performance reviews - provide architecture reviews, periodic performance reviews and backlog items for webapps
* Strong JavaScript skills, experience with modern JavaScript framework(s) such as Angular.js
* Full stack skills, particularly on Linux systems, utilizing modern tool chains
* Eight (8+) years of experience in computing or related technology areas
* Extensive experience with data, application, and computer security
* Detail oriented, well organized, and ability to multi-task in a results oriented business environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Bachelor's or Master's Degree
* Dynatrace synthetic testing - provide before vs. after testing for new webapps / major changes to webapps
* Work with broader architecture team to document, evolve and evangelize web/webapp standards among development teams
