The Senior Software Engineer will build and deploy the internal tools responsible for validating, analyzing, and gathering metrics on our core product and surrounding web services. You also will be mixing reliable industry standards, techniques, and algorithms with a generous dose of your own creativity to pioneer the new solutions in automation and instrumentation that are required to validate sophisticated, distributed (and often eventually consistent) processes and services. We are looking for highly motivated team members who face challenges head-on and are able to work in an innovative, complex, and dynamic environment.
Required Skills and Experience
- Significant experience in software product development—architecting, implementing, and maintaining systems
- Deep professional experience with Go language
- Responsible, team-oriented, hands-on leadership to drive delivery of high quality technical solutions
- Effective communication of technology solutions and decisions to peers and managers
- Solid analytical problem solving and software design skills
- Experience with distributed systems and services architecture, including operational experience
- Working knowledge of/experience with AWS (we use it a lot)
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT engineering, or equivalent technical field and eight years of experience OR 12 years of experience in a related field
Bonus Qualifications
- Familiarity with Haskell
- Experience with Python
- Familiarity with other languages (C, C++, Java, JavaScript, etc.)
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery build systems
- Experience developing solutions in multiple domains
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
