Full Stack Engineer
Assume full responsibility for Samsa's technology stack including our automated trading product, crypto exchange asset monitoring, and content website. You will pick up a working product with engaged users and manage its development, deployment, and future roadmap. This position collaborates with our CEO, who developed the MVP. We are looking for a driven candidate that is excited about working across multiple languages and tools as well as scaling and managing the future technical team. This position is designed to evolve into CTO or VP Engineering.
Responsibilities include:
- Development of our automated trading tools (Django, React, Python)
- Development of our content website (Django, Wagtail)
- Technical collaboration with our cryptocurrency exchange partners (API Keys, OAUTH, LDAP)
- Marketing analytics (Intercom, Google/Facebook tags, Google Analytics)
- Devops (AWS)
- Collaboration with an international team of designers and content writers
- Broad latitude in design and technical direction
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Python, Javascript, HTML, CSS
- Amazon Web Services: S3, EC2, Route 53, and Cloudfront
- React, Redux, Webpack
- Django, Wagtail, Django Rest Framework, RabbitMQ, and Celery
- Balsamiq, Sketch, and Illustrator
- Quantitative math skills - our front end is code + math
- Experience or familiarity with architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications
- Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities in personal, commercial, or community projects
- 3+ years of experience working in a modern commercial development environment
- Computer science degree preferred but not required - we appreciate scrappy people!
- Interest in the the cryptocurrency markets and emerging financial services sector
- Interest in algorithmic trading, investment strategies, and/or technical or quantitative analysis

Position can be located in either our Los Angeles, CA or Austin, TX offices
