Job Summary:

The Comcast Workplace IT Experience team is currently recruiting for an IT experience and test engineer. This position will be a part of the system engineering team, which is responsible for systems design, integration, test and training. This role has a strong focus on elevating the user experience with Workplace IT tools and driving enhancements and training to create frictionless workplace for productivity and innovation.

Core Responsibilities:

- Work with product management and cross functional development teams to create designs for IT initiatives

- Develop system Concept of Operations (CONOPs) that describes the interactions between the system, users, and the IT environment.

- Work in partnership with the business to understand and document its business processes, issues, challenges and opportunities.

- Develop requirements, verification scenarios and/or conditions of satisfaction documentation

- Lead design on large and / or complex projects.

- Document clear requirements, prepare functional design documents, monitor project progress, and execute solution test procedures.

- Coordinate further testing and piloting with end users and business leaders.

- Prepare and oversee training material and job aid development as well as provide user training for new processes.

- Maintain appropriate design and development documentation.

- Coordinate support with system / solution providers as needed.

- Provide hands on troubleshooting and support to the business when required.

- Assists with demonstrations, estimating development costs and overall project execution.

- Improve procedures and standards, ensuring quality and delivery of service to customers.

- Assist in staffing, employee engagement, mentoring and career development; employee training and identification and training of skills required to execute on programs.

- Critical thinking and a motivated self-starter capable of implementing Agile and DevOps culture.

- Demonstrated process change and project leadership experience.

- Demonstrated ability to document clear business requirements and design the solutions needed to meet business requirements.

- Demonstrated ability to lead small work groups/teams, providing guidance and leadership.

- Demonstrated Problem Management Root Cause Analysis skills.

- Demonstrated ability to build trust and relationships with business users and leaders.

- Excellent verbal, active listening, and written communications skills along with demonstrated facilitation skills.

- Keen attention to detail; solid organizational and time management skills.

Job Specification:

- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a System Engineer supporting IT system and S/W architecture, development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, test, and evaluation of COTS tools

- Experience in several phases of the engineering process, from requirements analysis through verification testing, including agile methodologies

- Strong experience with projects involving IT infrastructure (servers, storage, network), collaboration tools (IM, Virtual and Video Conferencing, Document Management, email), cloud infrastructure (PaaS, SaaS) and IT security.

- Experience with usability analysis and user experience (UX)

- Experience with agile project and requirements management tools e.g. Jira, Rally, etc. as applicable to Agile/Scrum development and collaboration environment

- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
