Job Summary:
The Comcast Workplace IT Experience team is looking for a driven, forward leaning leader to organize, develop standards and manage large enterprise IT initiatives and the overall IT product portfolio. This is a very strategic role responsible overall project intake, continuous prioritization and execution across the IT product portfolio. This role will be responsible to develop and maintain relationships with numerous functional departments, key business stakeholders and executives. This function plays a critical role in elevating the user experience with Workplace IT tools by driving initiatives that create a frictionless workplace for productivity and innovation. The role has overall responsibility for cost, schedule and technical execution of the technical project portfolio.
The successful candidate will focus on the IT infrastructure, collaboration, messaging, unified communications and IT service delivery products in prioritizing and aligning initiatives to business goals and objectives. In orchestrating portfolio initiatives the role will manage resource utilization, budget and overall portfolio performance.
Core Responsibilities:
This role will work with all levels of staff and management to drive an integrated technology planning, development and delivery organization to achieve organizational goals and objectives. This role includes a focus on people, projects, and building a Portfolio Management Platform to include tools. Specific responsibilities include
-Lead portfolio management practice to provide clear visibility to the true state of Workplace IT Experience's prioritized commitments, with insights, risks and issues to facilitate decision making.
-Define and develop a product roadmap to support Workplace IT user experience (UX) enhancement vision for enterprise IT.
-Facilitate demand management practices to balance capacity with demand in support of the rolling portfolio management process
-Provide technical leadership to address key strategic issues and opportunities, often working in collaboration multiple technology functions and business partners
-Develop recommendations to the engineering senior management and leadership team
-Building effective business partnerships and relationships with leaders across the CIO organization and business stakeholders
-Manage a team of project managers to drive consistent and successful execution
-Coach and develop project integration and delivery talent
-Construct credible large initiative project plans by working with diverse stakeholders to drive out details
-Develop concept of operations and business cases to support acquisition of funding
-Technically shape project and program strategic direction and path of execution, guiding to success
-Adapt and enable Portfolio and Project Management framework across organization
-Identify, communicate and manage dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans
-Promote a collaborative environment that fosters creativity and innovation
-Manage budget and finance for large initiatives and act as the liaison with finance stakeholders
-Supervise personnel including work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
-Acts as program management subject matter expert and/or engage the proper expertise in shaping product design and development.
-Primary customer interface to technical team; manage expectations, shape product direction and provide technical guidance with overall system development, deployment and institutionalization
-Supports new initiative scope estimation and budget estimating.
-Provides technical and/or professional coordination and leadership in the execution of day-to-day program/project activities, as appropriate to program objectives and area of expertise.
-Develops, writes, and presents comprehensive program reports at Monthly Program Review and submits Weekly Activity Reports.
-Assists in establishing and implementing short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

The position requires keen strategic thinking, technical and analytical skills, outstanding project management experience, team and leadership skills with a pragmatic results orientation. The candidate must enjoy and be effective working with professionals across all levels of a dynamic, entrepreneurial and fast-paced organization. Specifically, the candidate should have:
-Experience leading and managing a technology portfolio, demand, and resource governance teams
-Previous experience working with one or more technology portfolio management toolsets
-Strong, creative strategic thinking combined with strong team work, leadership and interpersonal skills
-Exceptional problem solving skills that enable efficient identification of issues, structuring and execution of analysis, development of actionable recommendations and implantation of those recommendations
-Experience in leading and influencing team across lines of business, technical functional areas and different levels of an organization
-Strong understanding of and experience in driving change in a technology organization Action orientation and desire to roll-up sleeves, get hands dirty and get into the depths of the business, with strong hands-on collaboration technology, PowerPoint, reporting/analytics, and portfolio management tools (Jira, Rally, Aha)
-Strong communication skills both oral and written and an exceptional senior management presence
-10-15 years of experience in technology governance or technology management consulting
-Prior IT engineering, project management and product development experience a strong plus
-Experience executing projects via an Agile/Scrum development methodology
-Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
-Ability to supervise and mentor employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
-Knowledge of program management principles and practices. PMP certified.
-Ability to provide technical coordination and management of development and/or implementation projects in area of expertise.
-Program planning and implementation skills. .
-Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures.
-Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
