What you’ll be working on:
- You will build the financial system of disrupting fintech startup. You will learn how new business models can fit into old fashioned financial systems and how it can shape the mindset of different regulators and authorities in money transfer business.
- You will be developing a system which handles hundreds of thousand of events about business decisions in different parts of the system and transforms them in meaningful and analysable financial records. Will help different product teams make strategic decision supported by accurate and reconciled data.
- At its core, our stack is Java microservices, using Netflix OSS offerings, and SPAs written in Angular 1/React, with a legacy Grails monolith. We are moving quickly to proven distributed technologies that can be scaled (Kafka, Zookeeper, Spring Cloud + much more)

Must haves:
- You know what it means to build software that keeps track of money. You constantly think about security, risks, data integrity, and bulletproof processes
- Excellent Java knowledge - including complex stuff like multi-threading
- Good mathematics skills - you don’t need to be a mathematician, but you will working with financial calculations daily
- Good SQL and database knowledge
- Domain knowledge:
- Have experience in finance/accounting systems, you are oriented in basic accounting and financial terminology
- Mindset:
- Passionate about technology, product and user experience
- Ability to work independently and plan your own solutions to problems.
- Broad understanding of the concept of minimum viable product and conversion rates.
- You put the customer at the heart of everything you do and that empathy drives every decision you make.
Nice to have:
- You have experience with messaging systems like Kafka, ZeroMQ, RabbitMQ.
- Understanding of Scrum and Agile development
- Data analytics skills - analyze financial data and turn data into stories, build data visualizations
