Summary:
Comcast has identified SDWAN SDN/NFV based and Ethernet enterprise and managed services as key areas of growth and scaling within B4B commercial data services portfolio, and within Network Service Engineering organization.
The Director is part of B4B NSE leadership teams responsible for business program intake and planning, inter-organization coordination and alignments, program budget, network and system integration architecture, design and development, verification, and operation.
As a technical and business leader, you will be responsibility for the overall quality and timely delivery of business programs and network/system integration business solutions. Collaboration with and across matrixed teams will be the foundation for the delivery environment. Success will require partnership with engineers, internal Comcast teams, and vendors to achieve the full realization of our business and program vision.
Ensuring a balance between tactical and strategic technology solutions with a focus on business needs. The selected candidate will deliver on time, and within budget, the solutions incorporating people, processes, and technology meet business needs. A core competency is the ability to identify and remediate issues to closure. As a key contributor in this complex and crucial environment, you will drive the integration of business and functional priorities to stable network service engineering solution and platforms.
This leader will also lead an organization with technical managers, network and system integration engineers, program/project managers, and to be responsible to a typical organizational leader role: budget, resource planning, recruiting, talent development.

Provides technical leadership and guidance with regards to practices, procedures, and techniques throughout the design process
Tracking and evaluating performance metrics. Ensures team delivers software on time, to specification, and within budget. Foster continuous improvement in critical BusDevOps KPIs such as cycle time, software quality, and achievement of business need
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Influence, and integration with agile development processes in partnership with engineering teams across the technology organizations
Remains current with technological developments reviewing literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution. Monitors current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect organizational projects; applies and integrates emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture.
Additional Qualifications
5 + years of experience in leading large teams responsible for managing, development and operations of system and networks programs within an MSO or Telco supporting strategic business objectives
10+ years of experience leading engineers and architects responsible for architecting, designing, developing and implementation complex technology solutions.
15 + years of experience in the design and implementation of Network and systems solutions
Proven experience in the area of element, network, and systems management system architecture.
Highly skillful in Network and OSS system architecture, designs, specifications, system testing and system users training and adoption in B4B network services provisioning, design, and configuration
High level experiences and knowledge's in networks, devices, services modeling and automation within the OSS Domain including CARE, OPS Service Level Fault & Performance Management
High level experiences and knowledge's in architecture surrounding Ethernet and IP Service including firewalls, VLANs, IP/MPLS/Ethernet network technologies protocols, Private Line, Private LAN, Dedicated Internet, IPVPN implementations
Experience in a product development environment is preferred
Experience working within service provider networks in a technical capacity is required.
Team orientated, collaborative with peers demonstrating strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Professional presentation and communication skills to address all levels of the enterprise.
Proven ability to create excellent working relationships with diverse teams and job functions throughout the organization. Responsive to changing requirements
Job Specification:
