Architect – Security Research & Technologies
We are currently looking for two suitable candidates to join Security Research & Technologies in an architect role. In either of the positions, you would be working with interesting technical challenges and real-life problems utilizing the latest technologies in the public cloud to build operational solutions. Your role is to facilitate, align and lead the technical work of multiple senior technical teams. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a good grasp of modern software architectures, leveraging high level services from the public cloud. Work requires an iterative mindset, with the ability to work and plan incrementally towards a desired end-state, ability to balance short-term and long-term goals is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work together with multiple stakeholders to define and align our architecture across platforms, services and teams. Including, but not limited to, the corporate wide authentication and authorization, settings management, update services and security cloud. Teams include multiple senior teams from within the Architecture & Platforms sub-unit, as well as product teams from the company’s Corporate Cyber Security and Consumer Cyber Security Business Units.
- Guide and lead technical work of multiple senior teams, including ways of working, within the whole company.
- Participate to company wide architecture and technology steering. Including make vs. buy decision making.
- Participate in day-to-day operations in teams, when needed to lead the teams from the front line.
- Analyze, architect and design towards the desired end-state through increments, with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs between alternative paths towards the ideal end-state. Ability to balance short-term and long-term goals of the company.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
- Software engineering background, you will need to be able to dive in hands first and to work in a devops role alongside your colleagues and you will be expected to lead from the front. Ability to work with multiple programming languages (Python, Java, node.js) and frameworks, and/or ability to pick up new languages easily is considered a benefit Background, experience and strong understanding of modern (cloud) software architectures, AWS technologies, serverless, micro-services and RESTful applications.
- Analytical mindset, ability to consider multiple alternatives and balance short-term against the long-term goals of the company.
- Great communication and facilitation skills. Ability to express yourself concisely, whilst capturing the essential and relevant elements, also for non-technical stakeholders.
