Are you a mobile developer that has worked with APIs, data, sensors, encryption, wearables and mobile apps? Do you think of yourself as a Mobile Experience and data collection Engineer? Are you a strong team player that has worked on complex system integrations, with Amazon’s Express server (Node.JS), Json, Couch DB, Java, DevOps, CHEF, React JS and React Native and push notifications using the Amazon cloud? Have you leveraged the oAuth standard as well as implementations of it such as Key Cloak and JWT? Are you interested in architecting systems that will help teach students about data science and assist researchers in making discoveries that will change the world? If yes, then consider applying to join UCLA’s Mobilize Labs Team and work with innovative clients that want to make real impact on the world.
The position reports to the Mobile Team Manager in UCLA’s Office of Information Technology and current projects include working with a multi-university team on an NIH grant with sensors, apps and dashboards to predict and prevent pediatric Asthma, an NSF grant to scale a STEM tablet portfolio tool for teachers, and expanding upon an in-house API driven app building platform for departments and university units. The team works with an AGILE methodology, Github, CI with code reviews and QA. A CS bachelor’s degree is preferred.
