As our new Test Engineer you will be part of our E-commerce department in the centre of Amsterdam, where you will be working with more than 100 colleagues from all over the world in a young, fast-paced and agile environment. You will play a key role within our Amsterdam office, leading the way to help BESTSELLER E-commerce push quality of the systems to the next level. You will take responsibility and pride in assuring quality for our E-commerce platform, omni-channel initiatives and our backend systems.
Daily tasks will include
- Developing and improving a future-proof test strategy with our development lifecycle
- Taking responsibility for the quality of the application and the new features delivered
- Defining new improvements of the applications you’re working on
- Analyzing and determining the impact of defects and new enhancements
- Error analysis using all available information and tools
- Working closely with the scrum team in estimating, planning and coordinating testing activities
- Researching and driving the latest test process improvement that will lead to higher quality products
- Implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices

Your qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in agile software engineering
- Extensive experience with manual and automated software testing
- Experience in preferably Java, JavaScript or any other Object Oriented programming language
- Experience with TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and DevOps
- Experience in JUnit, Mockito, Spring and Selenium
- Excellent English communication skills (our company language)
- Bachelor degree or higher computer science / software engineering (or similar)
