As a Linux System Engineer and member of our Security Team you’ll be given the freedom to make meaningful and measurable improvements impacting millions of people. You’ll be working with colleagues from our Infrastructure and Network teams to ensure continued success for Booking.com.



Booking.com is a data-driven and do extensive A/B testing on both user and partner facing platforms.We deploy code multiple times per day our own 30,000+ servers across our multiple data centers around the world, we have freedom, end-to-end access, and authority to make meaningful and measurable improvements empowering millions of people to experience the world.



B.Required



  • A minimum of 4 years experience as a Systems or DevOps Engineer in a Linux based environment.

  • Solid foundation in Linux administration and troubleshooting.

  • Proven scripting experience, preferably with Shell, Perl and/or Python for automation purposes.

  • Experience with configuration management, preferably with tools such as Puppet or Chef.

  • Analyze, monitor, configure, and maintain the existing system and identify possibilities for improvement and implementation of security concepts and measures.



B.skilled



  • Experience in design, implementation, migrations and support of large global and distributed infrastructures.

  • Create scripts and tools with the purpose of automating tasks within network and share knowledge with the team.
