About the Role:
As a UI/UX Engineer with GLOBO, you'll have an opportunity to guide the evolution of our products and shape how people interact with our technology, inline with our mission of “Helping people communicate when it matters most”. You’ll play a hybrid role of both designer and developer, blending strong design aesthetics with technical know-how, to conceptualize and create elegant UIs.

Working with and reporting to our VP of Engineering, you will lead by design to create frictionless interfaces that make people’s lives easier. From concept to design, you’ll work closely with our internal development team to create clean and intuitive UX, with a focus on effortless functionality.
Your understanding of human-computer interaction will help craft wireframes and mockups based on clearly defined user stories and use cases. You’ll regularly ship code, implement unit and integration testing, AB test interfaces and create epic designs.
About You:
You're a true artist and technologist; an advocate for the user. Solving complex problems and building products that serve a valuable function in society gets you up in the morning. You’re confident working independently and enjoy working collaboratively to build truly useful products. Your expertise lies in the front end, but you understand the key relationships throughout the system. You know your way around key technologies like:
- Modern Javascript frameworks (React, Ember, Angular, etc.)
- Automated Javascript tests
- Modular Sass (RWD, BEM, etc.)
- Modern MVC frameworks
