We are looking for a Developer with Full stack experience to join the HMH IT organization. The Web Developer will have a focus on websites and will be responsible for the managing the integrations between websites and back office applications, as well as translating the UI/UX design wireframes to code that will produce the visual elements of the website. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the capacity and desire to think strategically to develop new code and resolve any issues anywhere in the stack. This position is located in Boston, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
Develop websites to meet business requirements and other specifications
Support DevOps activities across web content platforms
Implement of a robust set of services and APIs
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Translate of UI/UX wireframes to visual elements
Integrate of the front-end and back-end aspects of the websites
Perform code reviews and set development standards
Coach, mentor and lead other developers
Create database schemas that represent and support business processes as needed
Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
Experience
• Sr. Developer, industry overall experience is 8 to 10
3-5 years of web development experience, or 3+ years focused experience in Headless CMS
Proficient with NodeJS, PHP, JavaScript
Experience with any content management systems, eg: Craft CMS, Sitecore, etc.
Optional: Experience with Ruby, Java, Elixir, Erlang, and C# helpful
Optional: Proficient with RESTful API development
Knowledge and Skill
Ability to adapt to new and changing environments and learn new skills quickly
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to apply strong problem-solving skills to a variety of situations to get to the root cause
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong written communication skills to aid in technical planning communication
Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
