We are looking for an enthusiastic full stack developer with focus on frontend to support our team and create frictionless experiences for our customers.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
With fairr.de, we simplify retirement saving and make it more transparent. Processes that used to be cluttered with heavy paper work are digitalized and therefore, processed much faster - mostly automated. As the web interface is our heart of the company, it needs a good and stable system and developers that continuously modernize and optimize.
As a web developer at fairr.de you will be working directly with the developers and designers. You will support them in creating interactive webpages, extending and improving the system and occasional bug fixing.
You will also collaborate closely with customer support and product engineers to improve our product.
ABOUT YOU
You truly love coding and are willing to learn and extend your knowledge independently. You are passionate about clean and performant code, not just code that works.
You’re good at finding the root cause of a bug, and can find a solution or workaround.
You want to gain experience in front- and backend development, collaborate in teams, and learn (more) about finances and investment.
- Requirements
- Backend PHP and MySQL
- Frontend JavaScript, HTML and CSS (LESS)
- (at least basic knowledge) in Git
- Proficient English language skills (written and verbal), ability to communicate in German is a plus
- Nice to have
- Terminal (Linux)
- AWS (S3)
- Backend JavaScript (npm/NodeJS, Gulp)
- Zeplin/InvisionApp
- maybe SVG and JavaScript canvas
- A little OOP

We’re a startup, so you’ll have to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and doing whatever is required to support our mission. However, there are some things you can definitely expect to be doing:
- Planning/Extending system architecture together with the system engineers
- Coordination of developments with designers and frontend developers
- Implementation of reusable and solid backend modules
