JAVA Developer at JP Morgan Chase (Herzliya, Israel)

This is a technical position for Global Payment Strategy program.  We are looking for a highly motivated and result driven individual to contribute towards building new platform for this initiative. As a Java Applications Developer Lead, you will have deep technical expertise and ability to hit the ground running fast. You will be required to work in partnership with the design authority, other development team members and project management team as required. You will be part of a feature team operating in agile environment and have familiarity with agile methodology. This will be a hands-on technical role. 

Required Skills:

Engineering Degree in a technical discipline or similar experience.
7+ years of Java development experience.
5+ years of experience utilizing Spring Framework, annotation driven development.
5+ years of experience in utilizing relational database or No SQL database.
5+ years of experience in writing unit and acceptance test cases utilizing JUnit, TestNG, Fitnesse and other similar tools and APIs. Strong knowledge of Test Driven Development.
 
3+ years of experience with asynchronous messaging such as IBM MQ, Apache Qpid, Apache Kafka.
Strong experience in utilizing automated build and deployment. Knowledge of Jenkins preferred.
Strong experience with performance tuning and performance testing utilizing tools such as Dynatrace and JMeter.
Familiarity with Linux.
Ability to mentor more junior members of the team.
Strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience writing re-usable APIs and developing frameworks.
Experience with Cassandra database.
Experience utilizing version control tools such as GIT.
Familiarity with Agile Methodology.
Experience working with geographically diverse team.
