TITLE: DBA  (MongoDB/Elastic Search)

As a database focused member of our engineering team, you will work with the best people in the industry as you help build the best in class data management and marketing automation platform. Your focus will be the design, deployment, and operation of the platforms multi-terabyte MongoDB and Elasticsearch database clusters.

YOU WILL

• Oversees and is responsible for our (multiple) Mongo and Elasticsearch clusters.

• Develops and supports redundancy, security and maintenance procedures.

• Develops and deploys benchmarking, SLA, and capacity planning initiatives.

• Performs tuning and monitoring for both database and operating systems.

• Scales processes and drives sustainability through automation.

• Makes logical and physical system architecture recommendations to avoid problems and increase system performance, availability, and stability

• Helps Identify root cause analysis of production-related database issues; collaborates with application engineers for solutions.

• Participates, documents, and encourages an environment of blameless post-mortems in response to any system incident resolution.

• Contributes to broader application architecture initiatives

• Works across borders and time zones to help drive projects to completion

• Help make an innovative, respectful, and motivated team even better

ABOUT YOU

• 3-5 years of experience working with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and/or a combination thereof is required

• Have architected, deployed, and supported large, high-volume MongoDB implementations.

• Extensive experience with AWS and understand how to maximize performance across EC2 and EBS.

• Fully comfortable managing Linux based servers.

• Experience with automation and configuration management technologies such as CFEngine, Chef, Saltstack.

• Experience with marketing systems/industry a plus.
