ABOUT THE ROLE
Mindvalley’s vision is to reach 1 billion students by 2038 and to create the best technology platform in the personal development space. Our Technology team at the moment is already including 40+ people and diverse teams, however it’s growing fast.
These are very exciting times to join the team and contribute to shaping the organisation of the future. So we’re looking for you to Head our Engineering team. You care - you’re passionate about what Mindvalley is building in the technology space and you want to bring impact to our community or life-long learners.

In this role we are expecting you to:




Lead the Mindvalley Engineering teams


Co-own the vision for the technology stack together with the CTO


Build strong teams, together with the Tech Leads, through hiring, coaching, mentoring and expanding our culture of feedback


Scale up teams and operations and support timely delivery of technical solutions to address business needs


Advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices and help develop and evangelise great engineering and organisational practices


Evaluate outsourcing opportunities and strategy & optimisation of velocity


Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values


Potentially growing some exposure to AI for the future


REQUIREMENTS


Strong technical foundation, preferred previous experience working as a software engineer or at least as part of engineering teams.


Track record of building teams and fostering cooperation. Ideally working with teams of 20+ and coordinating multiple engineering teams at once.


Ability to adapt and work in both structured and lower structure team formations. Preferably you have a mix of experience in start-up and scale-up companies.


Ability to set a direction and communicate it effectively to his or her team.


Communicate at all levels of the organisation. Track record of working in sync with CEO, CTO and executive teams.
