AIC Talent Solutions is seeking an Application Support Analyst for a contract-to-hire role with our DIRECT client in Plano, TX. This role requires experience with Linedata's Longview Trading System portfolio management platform, electronic trading, and pre/post-trade compliance modules.
The Application Support Analyst will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and monitoring the LVTS Host Manager and Linedata services
- Support and ensure all LVTS services such as Real Time trade service, Trade Allocation service and Trade confirmation service are up and running.
- Ensure all trades requests arrive to the exchange(s) from Gateway channels by supporting Gateway services that Traders use to communicate with the Brokers through FIX over TCP/IP.
- Determine root cause of incidents by troubleshooting and debugging scripts to fix the issues in nightly batches failure and process the data stored in the SQL Server database.
- Supporting Mutual Fund trade allocation and archival processes.
- Ensure TREP connectivity is up that is used to upload trade execution activity in TREP via MQ/TCP.
- Working on SQL server database for hot-fix and enhancements. Write scripts to automate and fix the delay of batch process.
- Creating and managing tickets using Peregrine tool and resolve the issue on a priority basis.
- Performing change management through ITSM tool following ITIL process.
- Support for ongoing changes and release management process,
- Involve in DR tests using fail over and fail back process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience in software development
- Demonstrated design & delivery of software with a Client First perspective
- Prior experience working at a large tier global financial institution
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues in an easy to understand manner
- Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues
Required Skills
- Hands on experience with vendor based portfolio management platforms, electronic trading, and pre/post-trade compliance modules (Long View Trading System LVTS preferred; Envestnet, Charles River)
- Thorough understanding of trading products such as equities, ETFs, options, and Mutual Funds
- Strong database experience (SQL Server, Sybase and/or DB2)
- Hands on experience with Windows Server
- Hands on experience with Linux shell scripting
- Hands on experience with ASP.NET
