Duties: Support the next generation Margin & Collateral Management platform for JPMorgan Corporate Investment Bank (CIB). Build and deliver real-time, straight through processing solutions to support margin calculation and collateral management, integrating with the end to end platforms and business processes for CIB front-office, risk and finance. Involved in all stages of the project life cycle from scoping and design to implementation and operation, applying best practices in engineering to automate the full software development pipeline. Develop real-time, distributed systems. Responsible for the development of best practices such as object-oriented design, well-defined service interfaces, test-driven development, and automation. Apply knowledge of Java, UNIX/LINUX, REST, Spring, messaging frameworks. Work with clustered distributed persistence, parallel distributed processing, micro services and designing/developing for the cloud using technologies such as NoSQL databases, Kafka, Spark, HDFS (Hadoop File System), S3, Docker, and Cloudera/AWS (Amazon Web Services).
Minimum education required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Minimum experience required: 5 years of experience in software engineering, or related experience.
Skills Required: Must have experience building low latency, real time, distributed applications with Java and J2EE. Must have experience with object oriented analysis and design. Must have experience with development best practices including automated unit testing, continuous integration, build pipelines and auto deployment. Must have demonstrated knowledge of Unix/Linux. Must have experience with REST services, Spring and messaging frameworks. Must have experience with NoSQL clustered databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB. Must have experience with cloud environment and cloud deployment. Must have software engineering experience in financial industry. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
