This ERP .NET Developer position is available due to the successful growth of our company. The candidate selected will be involved in the configuration, programming, support, and maintenance of a distribution focused ERP software application. The candidate will provide the software development skills necessary to ensure successful translation of business requirements into ERP application functionality. This position operates in a DevOps model and solves business problems through the development and maintenance of an enterprise scale ERP system, supports system users throughout the United States, Canada, and Asia, and works within a cross-functional team to assist in ensuring a high degree of user functionality.
How you will spend your time:
- Work with other remote team members on design and implementation of core platform technologies
- Responsible for the analysis, development, modification, installation, testing, and maintenance of a 3rd party Visual Basic (ProvideX) enterprise scale ERP software application
- Development of C# and .Net, and other code to deliver on project functional requirements.
- Function effectively in a high-volume, fast-changing work environment while managing multiple time-critical issues.
- Troubleshoot issues with support representatives and/or customers
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and developments
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
- Must be able to occasionally work outside of core hours, as business conditions necessitate (e.g., implementation of new functionality, month-end processing, etc.)
Were excited if you have:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Information Technology or similar related discipline
- Experience with Visual Basic interpretive language (Required)
- Minimum 5+ years experience as a developer utilizing NET/C#, RESTful APIs, and JavaScript technologies. (Required)
- Knowledge of ERP processes, preferred
- Someone who is passionate about learning new things and improving your development skills.
- Understanding of Agile development frameworks and Test Driven Development
- Understanding of working in a CI/CD environment
- Previous experience programming ProvideX and/or PxPlus applications preferred
- Experience with relational databases, SQL Server preferred
- Experience with Mock Testing, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and System Testing abilities, including automated testing techniques using NUnit or similar
- Strong Interpersonal Skills - ability to work with people with a variety of skill sets and remote team members
