Visionworks is currently hiring for a top notch individual to office in San Antonio, Texas for the position of Enterprise Architect. The Enterprise Architect works with IT, Business Leadership and other cross-functional teams to define enterprise level strategies and technical direction. Defines the system, technical, and application architectures, and in the business systems architecture for major areas of development. The Enterprise Architect maintains an ongoing partnership with business and IT to apply in-depth knowledge of the business operations, strategies, priorities and information requirements to establish and maintain technical direction and enterprise view. Provides architectural vision to appropriately align IT to strategic business needs and goals. .

Summary of Responsibilities: 

1. Responsible for providing senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprises overall systems architecture.
2. Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and applications across the enterprise.
3. Reviews, advises and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals.
4. Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards.
5. Leads the development of enterprise architecture governance structure based on business and IT strategies.
6. Provides technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate.
7. Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprises architecture needs.

Education:

• Preferred bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination or experience and education
• Certification in Azure, AWS, or Security is preferred

Experience & Background:

Five

• (5) plus years of experience in enterprise projects within the architectural domain. Stron
• g understanding of Cloud Native development, Cloud Infrastructure, Open Source Frameworks, one or more Cloud Environments (AWS, Azure, or other)

• Hands-on experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), APIs and Microservices
• Expertise in developing and architecting solutions in a collaborative environment, as well as significant experience in multiple hardware/software computing environments and system components.
• Experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement involving broad-based information systems, utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change; business systems analysis experience.
• Demonstrated experience in translating business strategies, across several business units, into effective solutions. Possess ability to extract and translate business strategy into architectural requirements.
