What you’ll be doing:
- Developing web applications using Microsoft .Net and open source technologies.
- Creating and enhancing product features in ReactJS, .Net MVC 5 and Web API with C#
- Maintaining and/or converting legacy systems from Webforms & VB.Net into MVC, React & Web API with C#
- Creating and enhancing applications in our growing microservice ecosystem
- Working directly with Product Managers, Designers, Developers and Quality Assurance to deliver new products and features.
- Modifying existing applications and features to improve performance, code readability etc.
- Leading and collaborating with a small agile team of peers and a department of 50 Developers
Skills you have include:
- Demonstrated mastery in one or more object-oriented languages
- Strong experience working with SQL Server or another RDBMS, both using prepared SQL / stored procedures and an ORM like Entity Framework or NHibernate
- Comfort developing with a Test-First approach
- Building web applications using an MVC framework
- Building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Writing automated tests using NUnit, JUnit or an equivalent
- Working with teammates and Product to decompose features into actionable tasks that meet INVEST criteria
- Understanding, recognizing and recommending appropriate use of Design Patterns
- A passion for balancing code quality, maintainability and performance with pragmatic business decisions
Ideally, you also:
- Have experience or are familiar with concepts related to Microservices architecture.
- Have implemented responsive design techniques for mobile-friendly applications
- Have client-side experience in one or more JavaScript frameworks
- Have Node.js and JavaScript back-end experience
- Understand the nature of asynchronous programming
- Have experience with cloud based architecture
- Have operated in a leadership role on a small agile team of peers
- Enjoy mentoring more junior Developers
- Know how to write code that’s safe to deploy in a Continuous Integration environment
- Have experience with at least one NoSQL platform
