DevOps Specialist at Dahl Consulting (Minneapolis, MN)

DAHL Consulting has a remote contract DevOps Specialist position with our Minnesota based client.  

Our client is looking for a DevOps Specialist to assist in a Data Center consolidation project. You will help migrate an existing data center to a private cloud. 

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years professional DevOps experience
  
• 3+ years experience configuration management automation using Ansible (preferred), Chef, or Puppet
  
• Scripting experience using Bash, Python, Powsershell
  
• 3 + years Linux Administration experience (CentOS or RHEL preferred)
  
• 3+ years experience with continuous integration (CI) tools, particularly Jenkins
  
• 3+ years deploying applications in Docker containers
  
• 3+ years working with Virtualization (VMWare & Hyper-V) or Cloud technologies
  
• Experience with PaaS and container orchestration technologies such as Openshift and Kubernetes
  
• Experience creating automated analytics pipelines using tools such as ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Graylog, or Splunk
  
• Experience with build automation using any of the following: Ant, Maven, Gradle, and MSBuild
  
• Scripting background using Bash, Python, Powsershell, and Groovy
  
• Working knowledge of relational database technologies, particularly Microsoft SQL
  
• Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting JBoss and wildfly J2EE application servers
  
• General understanding of basic networking (firewall, open ports), DNS & DHCP

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to write and debug SQL code
  
• Experience automating database deployments using tools such as Datical, Flyway, or Redgate
  
• Experience with Atlassian suite including, but not limited to Hipchat, Bitbucket, Confluence, and JIRA
  
• Experience working with Microservices or service oriented architectures.
  
• Experience working with service mesh technologies, especially Consul
