Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Business Intelligence Supervisor for our Business Operations Unit.
This position will be responsible for designing and maintaining DDD's vision for data management and analytics.
This position will also be responsible for continuous refining of information and analytic roadmaps.
The BI supervisor will develop new methods and processes to monitor, measure, and report on the results of the division's operations.
The BI supervisor will design and develop business systems to collect and account for revenues from member billing operations, third party collections and recoupments.
Additionally this the BI supervisor will design and implement a data warehouse solution for the division.
This position will also review and analyze existing business processes involving collection, storage, and analysis of consumer, provider, and financial data from multiple automated systems (e.g. FOCUS, QNXT, FMCS, etc.) and to develop new processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of those functions.
JOB DUTIES:
Provide leadership and mentoring for assigned staff.
Write performance appraisals and coach team member.
Authorize leave and approve time sheets.
Review and analyze existing business processes involving collection, storage, and analysis of member, provider, and financial data from multiple automated systems (e.g., FOCUS, QNXT, FMCS, etc.).
Work in a cross functional team environment to achieve results.
Develop and continuously refine information and analytics roadmaps based on comprehensive understanding of changing consumer needs, industry dynamics, and business objectives.
Analyze existing data and make it more access to stakeholders to allow for data-driven decision making.
Monitor, measure, and report on the results of the division's operations; streamline existing routine reporting procedures; coordinate the large volume of ad hoc reporting of member, provider, and financial data.
Manage team, research new technologies, and maintain the data warehouse.
Provide expertise, work with team members and customers, including planning and requirements for assigned projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Knowledge of:
Principles and practices of applications programming, systems analysis, and database design.
Federal and State laws, rules, and regulations as they pertain to program operations/ activities.
Policies and procedures established for work system and software programs used for analysis and managerial practices and techniques.
Microsoft desktop applications.
Skilled in:
Oral and written communication, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with customers and at different levels.
Work aggressively toward engineering optimal solutions to support both short and longer term priorities, with solutions ranging from traditional to more modern, interactive business intelligence and analytic tools such as Tableau, Power BI or equivalent.
Microsoft Access and SQL Server database usage, specifically those related to the design and development of databases used in day-to-day business operations and creating a Business Intelligence and Analytics data warehouse solution.
Problem identification, isolation, analysis, and resolution.
Predictive analytics.
Working with large data sets which include structured and semi structured data.
Ability to:
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and extract functional requirements.
Evaluate and design business processes.
Work on multiple projects at the same time.
Work independently and adapt to changing circumstances.
Work within a team as well as work independently.
Effectively manage workloads and team members.

SELECTIVE PREFERENCE(S):
Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related field from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience in business analysis, information systems, computer business applications or related systems.
Experience working with automated systems data, SQL, and querying techniques.
