Otter Products is currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with experience in eCommerce integration, development, and cloud-based architecture. In this role, you will join our Application Development team in Fort Collins, CO – while working closely with our eCommerce team. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will lead the development, implementation and maintenance for our brand websites, as well as develop new features, solve bugs, and utilizing and enhance our e-commerce platform, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware) framework. The successful candidate will have the technical background and previous experience working with eCommerce platforms. To call out some specifics, we are seeking a developer with knowledge in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, SASS and HTML. Active collaboration and problem solving skills are a must in this role. Responsibilities



  • Collaborate cross-functionally to determine the goals and requirements for various software applications, predominantly Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware)

  • Support the eCommerce Software Architect in working closely with the eCommerce Director to create technical designs and explore new ideas that align with Marketing possibilities via the Web

  • Design and develop eCommerce software solutions; troubleshoot and resolve software issues

  • Help develop new functionality in web-based environments

  • Work with the eCommerce Architect to develop a strategy for creating, maintaining and improving a software environment

  • Apply previous experience and knowledge of established systems software development principles and best practices to independently resolve problems and make changes to existing processes/systems

  • Support software testing, deployment, and maintenance activities related to eCommerce software

  • Work independently on projects with significant complexity

  • Other duties as required



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree required. Combination of experience and education may be considered in place of a degree.

  • Minimum four years of full stack web development experience, including JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, SASS and HTML templates required




  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Information Systems, or related technical discipline preferred

  • Experience in modern web tools and practices, including grunt, gulp, and NPM preferred

  • Experience working with existing JavaScript frameworks preferred

  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware) or related SaaS framework experience preferred

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies preferred
