The position
The unit Tools Innovation is responsible for the implementation of a professional development environment and tools for both Avaloq developers and clients' customization experts.
As a Software Engineer you design and implement new functionality and create automated tests to assure the quality of the software. You work in a team of highly qualified specialists. Your contact to internal and external customers constantly challenges you to improve your knowledge of the software you create.
Your responsibilities
- Analyse, design, implement and test new software
- Communicate with internal and external customers and stakeholders
- Take broad responsibility in an agile development environment
Your Profile
Minimum qualifications:
- BSc degree in Computer Science (or similar field) or equivalent practical experience
- Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- web application development
- data services and business logic development
- database development
- system administration and scripting
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Preferred qualifications:
- MSc or PhD degree and additional education
- Experience in programming languages Java, JavaScript or PL/SQL
- Experience in following technologies: HTML, CSS, JQuery, JEE, Oracle databases, Unix/Linux administration, Korn-Shell scripting
- Experience in requirements engineering and user experience design
