Job Description:
We're looking for a strong, hands on engineer and technical leader to join as a core member our
technical leadership team. If you have a true entrepreneurial spirit this company / role is perfect

We are a true technology company, building almost all of our own software, and we have a
strong engineering culture. RedMart offers a large variety of challenges and problems to solve,
as we do everything from the consumer facing front-end apps, to customer service, to fulfilment,
to logistics and last mile delivery ourselves.
We are still at the early stages of development, looking for world class engineer and a leader
who has a passion to create, is highly ambitious and willing to work hard to achieve great things.
Responsibilities
Working with diverse teams to provide technical leadership, both as an individual
contributor and at times leading small teams to develop products/tools/processes to be
deployed across teams
Define and communicate architectural approaches, frameworks and principles for
company-wide integration solutions with applications, services and processes
Attract best-of-the-breed talent and keep them engaged
Provide technical mentorship to team members on diverse topics, including, but not
limited to distributed-computing, machine-learning, and data-science.
Data Privacy and infra security expert, ensuring designs meet the necessary security
and privacy requirements
Prepare and maintain system-wide architectural design documentation
Participate in technical design reviews and ensure systems are designed to meet their
functional and nonfunctional requirements
A keen follower of technology trends and emerging standards, and proposes how these
technologies can be adapted across teams within RedMart
Foster an environment of innovation and encourage prototyping, testing, and
adapting/customizing technology to suite our infrastructure, rather than settling for ‘one-
size-fits-all’ approach
Assist engineers in tracing and debugging production issues, if any
Participate in cross-team project planning activities to ensure project success
Build RedMart’s brand as top engineering company to work for, by organizing and
managing tech-talks/hackathons, both in-house and at external community
events/meetups.
Own and execute platform projects - prototyping new technologies, tooling, libraries, etc.
Qualifications
Experience building and leading world class engineering teams
Strong understanding of large-scale distributed systems, information and technology
architectures, including EAI patterns, messaging, micro-services architecture,
information models, and distributed logging/tracing.
A good understanding of databases (relational/columnar/NoSQL), programing
languages/paradigms (Java/Scala/Python,Akka/etc), caching, Enterprise Search, SOA,
EDA, and CI/CD
Experience with cloud-based (AWS or similar) application/service architecture, including
deployment and scaling.
Demonstrable understanding of infra and application security management, in the
context of developing and operating large-scale multi-tenant systems
A solid understanding of infrastructure automation and DevOps concepts
Hands-on knowledge of one or more Machine Learning, Analytics and Data Science
tech stack(s).
A working knowledge of Stream- and batch- processing technologies.
Excellent understanding of latest trends in distributed computing, algorithms, software
technologies and development practices/tools, build and test automation, and network
management.
A solid grasp of software internationalisation / localisation topics.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate
with business and technology partners, peers and senior management.
Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders to
drive success.
A true “roll up the sleeves” working attitude.
Masters in Computer Science, Electronics or relevant discipline.
