Java Developer / Software Engineer - Treasury Services at JP Morgan Chase (Jersey City, NJ)

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. Youll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. Youll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of whats being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, youll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

JPMorgan ACCESS is a mission critical, large scale, web & mobile based, cash management application directly tied to the strategic growth of Treasury Services. ACCESS is one of the largest Technical projects within JPMorgan; leveraging a host of new technologies, offering developers the opportunity to expand and apply their technical capabilities. The Treasury Services technical team is currently looking for a back-end Java Software Engineer. This individual will work with a team that develops smart and scalable solutions and provide a solid experience for our users.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• 5+ years of Java applications development experience, with experience implementing real-time applications on back-end components within an enterprise environment
• Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable and efficient code and correctly employ design patterns
• Experience in NoSQL technologies / Elastic Search, Cloud computing or distributed messaging frameworks are desired skills
• Working closely with manager to make sure business requirements in the form of production release deliverables are met
• Mentoring new resources to be successful in an individual and team setting
• Conduct and participate in Agile Scrum calls to ensure technical and business partners have current status on delivery progress.
• Deliver secure, efficient, high performing and stable code that meets or exceeds business needs. Meet/exceed all bank technology standards for applications.
• Availability for production support incident/SME support, as required.
• Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
• Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
• Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages, such as Java, Spring / Spring Boot, Elastic Search, PL/SQL
• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
