Vacancies exists in our team for Senior and Mid level UI Developers with JavaScript skills working as a key member of an agile team.
You will be actively contributing to the development, test & support of customer facing web applications. Your team will have long-term end-to-end ownership of one of more applications covering a set of related customer journeys. That ownership will cover; build, test, transition and operation.
With front-end technology evolving so rapidly, your skills will be applied to applications built in both old and new frameworks and architectures; from traditional server-side rendered, web server hosted applications to SPA’s built in Angular, backed by an API layer.
The role will involve:
• Hands-on front-end implementation
• Practising effective development practice; participating in Behaviour and Test Drive Development, pairing programming and supporting a culture of end to end ownership.
• Following best practice and ensuring quality assurance is maintained throughout the development lifecycle
• Being a proactive team player who is comfortable with tight delivery deadlines and managing priorities
We are looking for talented individuals who have:
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple tasks
• Able to work in a collaborative environment
• Good critical reasoning and problem-solving skills; takes ownership and sticks to the problem until it is solved
• Customer-focused, whether responding to support queries or developing new features and/or functionality
Your experience includes:
• Current hands-on experience of online user interface development
• Knowledge of front end development languages, tools and methods – HTML 5, CSS3, DOM, JSON, JavaScript and associated technologies and toolsets (e.g.jQuery) Sass, LESS
• Experience of writing front end code to be cross-browser, cross-device friendly. A focus on Responsive/Adaptive/RESS UI development and where each is most appropriate is crucial
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Backbone, Angular (2+), Vue.js
• Knowledge & experience of modern software engineering techniques such as:
o Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD)
o Test-Driven Development (TDD) is desirable
o Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) is desirable
o Version Control Systems (Subversion / GIT & GITFLOW)
o Code validation and quality analysis (e.g. Sonar)
