As a Java developer, you will create and maintain a variety of different custom-built, in-house analytic modeling tools, focusing on our platform-independent IoT environment. You will participate in the entire development life cycle from user meetings, planning sessions, code reviews, stand-ups, and maintenance.
This position requires the ability to fulfill duties and responsibilities such as:
- Develop and maintain an emerging IoT platform across the entire Java Technology stack
- Engage with customers and channel partners to develop data integration strategies
- Assist in the development and maintenance of APIs, services, and systems
- Work at all aspects of the development, test and maintenance
- Shift across customers, platforms, and technologies as required
- Be able to bring ideas to the effort, not just perform assigned tasks
Required experience :
- A minimum of two to five years of Java or .NET programming experience.
- Experience with XML, JQuery, HTML, JSON and Web Services
- Understanding and working knowledge of basic Internet protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, SOAP, POP, SSL
- Database design and management (SQL, SQLite, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Must be an excellent communicator and be able to work in a team environment.
Additional desired experience :
- C# .NET development
- Desktop and Web front-end development (WPF)
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- Enterprise-grade solutions with microservice architecture
- Linux systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment
Working Conditions :
- Position is Located in Addison, Texas
- Travel is typically not required
