As Senior Network Security Engineer, you will be the leading technical resource on an infrastructure team that implements, manages and supports network technology solutions to mitigate automated web security threats and control other forms of non-malicious automated traffic. Your subject matter expertise on network security, web application defense and cyber will help your team defend the firm from a daily onslaught of attacks against our web and mobile channels. Youll be instrumental in solving more difficult technical issues, working with business partners, Cybersecurity and technology vendors to secure one of the largest eCommerce and online banking platforms on the planet. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- Significant experience with large-scale/high-volume eCommerce infrastructure and/or consumer mobile applications and associated threats
- Current on trends and developments in web/HTTP technology and risks; expert-level knowledge of OWASP Automated Threat category, OWASP Top Ten, etc.
- Strong foundational grasp of modern TCP/IP network infrastructure design
- Expert level, under the hood experience with HTTP protocols, response codes, modern usage (including API concepts), and web scripting/automation tools
- Significant hands-on experience with web proxies (such as Blue Coat), web application firewalls (F5 ASM, Imperva, etc.), or other HTTP security products
- Cybersecurity experience highly desired (government, military or private industry)
- Experience with firewalls, load balancers, routers, or DDoS protection a plus
- Ability to identify, analyze, and report on cyber security threats within the web and mobile channels
- Industry recognized security certifications, such as CISSP, SANS Web Defender, GIAC PPA, CEH, etc. preferred
- Experience with analytics tools such as Splunk and/or SEIM to analyze and interpret data
- Basic understanding of the company's business practices and familiarity with the company's products and services
- Financial services experience a plus
- Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, and problem solving skills and strong verbal/written communication skills
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience
