This role is an excellent opportunity to work in the field of autonomous vehicle/autonomous driving (AV/AD) system architectures using advanced Arm IP. We are looking for a strong AV/AD software architect with ability to lead technical research and development threads revolving around autonomous driving application software.

What will I be accountable for?

This role offers you the chance to lead the software architecture development for AV/AD applications. You will derive software and hardware requirements through teamwork, and create functionally safe software architectures and implementations to meet those requirements, building on Arm's cutting-edge, low-power processors and system IP. Research and implement new algorithms/methods related to sensor fusion, object classification and tracking, path planning and decision-making, and safety/fault management.


What skills, experience and qualifications do you need?



  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, ECE, Computer Science, or a related field required; Master’s or PhD preferred

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in C/C++, Python or other programming languages

  • Hands-on experience with radar, lidar, computer vision, sensor fusion, perception, and/or machine learning algorithms

  • Experience with runtime software environments to support heterogenous compute hardware systems

  • Strong experience with safety-critical software development for automotive vehicle, robotics, or related products

  • Some international travel may be required

  • Experience with MATLAB, mathematical modeling, software/hardware co-design

  • Strong problem solving skills with aptitude to learn and collaborate

  • Strong communication and social skills
