As a member of the Technology Operations team, you'll play a big part in providing end to end infrastructure support that make it possible for us to provide service to our customers, clients, and businesses around the globe each and every day. In this role you'll call on your experience in VMWare / Cisco UCS production assurance, connectivity services and service improvements to deliver reliable infrastructure. As a team, you and your peers will be the primary point of contact to support incident, problem, change management, risk, vendor and client relationship, internal and external communications, service delivery, lifecycle management and service evolution. Responsibilities:
- Act as primary customer interface for day to day issues and queries
- Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members
- Develop and support routine operational activities with automation
- Lead root cause analysis meetings as part of process improvement
- Work closely with peer teams to deliver high availability and optimum performance for customers
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a VMWARE ESXi Systems Administrator in a large-scale, dynamic, high-availability distributed environment
3+ years of experience administering CISCO Unified Computing System (UCS) Domains
5+ years of experience in the following:
Advanced understanding of Unix / Microsoft Windows
Advanced knowledge of Cisco UCS, HP Blade technologies, Systems Insight Mgr. (SIM) Management
Basic understanding of Symantec Antivirus, NetBackup, ESM Administration
Familiar with VMWARE VCOPS toolset
Working experience in deploying and operating ESX and Windows at the SA level with a strong bias towards automated deployment and operations experiences- Strong understanding of Network and System Infrastructure Fundamentals, including Storage concepts (Scale IO, NAS, SAN)
- Familiar with Enterprise Automation and Configuration Management Solutions: Ansible, Puppet, CFEngine, SCCM
Proficient with programming or scripting languages, Python a plus
Proficient in writing technical documentation
Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and agile practices
Intermediate knowledge in Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations)
Able to articulate technical and non-technical information and understands when to escalate issues
Thinks creatively to deliver solutions through continuous improvement
