With the proliferation of IoT devices (Arm ships billions of those every year), data processing is an integral part of the IoT eco system. We are taking on the hardest technical problems around large scale data processing driven by machine learning to deliver on customer outcomes (yes, customers do come first).

The role will be based in San Jose with minimal travel to other Arm sites, customers and partners. There are multiple roles open, ranging in levels from Principal/Staff/Senior.

What skills, experience, and qualifications do I need?
- You've been developing increasingly complex software in multiple languages (Java/Go/C/C++ etc.). You use Agile development, including TDD - or some flavor of it - to deploy operational code to production several times a week using CI/CD workflows.
- You possess an in-depth knowledge of Web-related standards and protocols (HTTP, SSL, DNS, TCP/IP).
- You are proficient with one or more cloud platforms and distributed compute technologies like Docker, Terraform, Ansible, AWS (EC2, S3, Kinesis, EMR, Lambda etc.), OpenStack, Kubernetes (and any others you can convince are cool enough for us to adopt).
- You are well-versed with open-source components in the data/messaging world like kafka/mqtt/beam/flink/apex/spark, etc. - and are preferably a contributor to those as well.
- Experience with data storage and retrieval technologies - RDBMS, SQL, NoSQL, REST, RDD, Hive, CQL, Cassandra, HBase, Redis, MongoDB etc.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and can communicate with people from diverse backgrounds - including senior leaders
